Practice on the beautiful Ritual’s deck built within the native jungle with a view of the beach, listening to the sounds of the ocean. Enjoy an invigorating morning practice with Ingrid, then take a dip in the cenotes before partaking in a delicious and nourishing brunch. Then ride your bike through the jungle or take a dip in the ocean feeling the healing warm of the Carribean Sea. Or take a nap or do some journaling on the resort’s pristine beach.  Get a massage, enjoy the vast array of incredible food by the world-renowned chef, and find yourself effortlessly settling into the calming rhythms of this natural setting. The days will end with a restorative practice, sound bath, or yin session with Ingrid or one of the retreat center’s inspired healers.

Start your day out with a dynamic yoga practice with Ingrid on the beautiful Ritual’s Deck. This elegantly constructed circular wooden platform is nestled in the mangroves and is an oasis of energetic space. It was hand-constructed around the trees, so you are immersed in the vitality of the jungle as you practice. 

After a rejuvenating  yoga practice, take your breakfast outdoors on their gorgeous outdoor dining deck. Sustainability and delectable flavors are on the mind of world-renowned head chef, Eugenio Villafaña. All meals, sparked by his imaginative culinary brilliance, are served to order (no buffets at this resort, both for sanitation purposes, as well as first-class, detailed service), with the highest quality ingredients including, same-day caught seafood for non-vegan eaters.  

After filling your belly with delicious handcrafted food, consider a bike ride through retreat center’s lovely community, and be sure to seek out the namesake of the resort, AïA herself. This magnificent sculpture was built to remind humanity of hope. She represents our connection to nature, and our interconnection on this planet both physically and energetically. For the Mayans, AïA represents the source of life, with her arms reaching out and embracing an island of life, and in her center lies a stupendous Lemurian Quartz crystal — the keeper of the knowledge. AïA holds on to life, reminding us to treasure and protect our verdant Earth.  In keeping with this holistic ideal, the AïA sculpture was conceptualized by Palmaïa’s founder, and built with local materials and left-over pieces from the construction of Palmaïa.  The monument is meant to serve as a reminder to all, of the preciousness of life in our delicate ecosystem. Truly a vision and celebration of life itself after a year of such devastation. 

In the afternoon, enjoy a therapeutic massage or energetic healing treatment at the spa, located on property on the jungle side. This one-of-a-kind spa offers nine energy centers, which are private buildings built with floor to ceiling windows to help you connect with nature during your t. The buildings are cool under the shade of the jungle, and quiet for ultimate privacy and relaxation.
