I’m Ingrid Yang, M.D., J.D., E-RYT 500, C-IAYT, and my life’s work is about integrating medicine into yoga, and yoga into medicine. As a deeply knowledgeable and creative teacher, I’ve been guiding students through the practice of yoga since 1999, and as a physician specializing in Internal Medicine, I bring a unique, holistic approach to healing. Based in San Diego, I lead classes, trainings, and retreats around the world—always rooted in wisdom, compassion, and the power of breathwork, meditation, and the mind-body connection.

In my past lives, I was an intellectual property attorney, jazz singer in Australia, and founder of Blue Point Yoga Center. Now, when I’m not doctoring or yoga-ing, I love to surf at sunset, travel the world, and play on the beach with my dogs. A former attorney turned physician, Ingrid has taught yoga since 1999, authored acclaimed books on yoga and meditation, and leads sold-out international retreats blending mindfulness, movement, and medical insight. Featured in The New York Times, Well+Good, and Outside Magazine, she also serves as a consulting physician at RoseBar Longevity Clinic in Ibiza.

Being a yoga teacher has been one of the most fulfilling journeys of my life. Since 1999, I’ve had the joy of guiding students through their personal transformations, witnessing their growth and breakthroughs on and off the mat. My teaching is deeply rooted in wisdom, compassion, and a thorough understanding of movement kinesiology, with a special focus on the healing power of breathwork, meditation, and the mind-body connection.

I’ve had the privilege of leading classes, trainings, and retreats across the United States, Australia, Europe, and Asia, sharing my passion and knowledge with diverse communities. Each class is an opportunity to inspire and be inspired, creating a space where students can discover their best and truest selves.

As an author, I’ve had the incredible privilege of sharing my journey and insights with a wide audience. I’ve been published over 100 times in renowned publications like Yoga Journal, where I was honored to be on the cover, as well as in SELF, Outside Magazine, Well+Good, and many more. I’ve also authored two books that delve into the transformative power of yoga and holistic wellness.

My passion for storytelling extends to my work as a travel writer, where I document my global adventures and experiences for some of the largest publications in North America. This journey allows me to connect with readers on a deeper level, inspiring them to explore the world and themselves with curiosity and openness.
